Ever since I was a child I have always watched people and situations, examining and processing them, sinking deeply into day dreaming.

The individual has always intrigued me: "Where is she from?"; "What are his wishes?".

My photo shoots are a documentation of meetings with strangers that I contact via internet, and with whom I meet a single time. The subject is a distant person and a total stranger. The camera creates the closeness and with it a new reality that first appears only in the frame. Each frame taken alters the reality and changes the different relationships on the set.

I look for the spontaneous and natural moments that occur between seriousness and awkwardness, and believe that art resides in the three-way interaction between the subject, photographer and camera.
